The travel & tourism industry has witnessed an amazing growth in the last 30 years. For many countries, it is their major industry and few governments today would be happy to see the tourist spend shrink. To attract visitors, the industry goes to enormous lengths. There is no doubt that the level of service and facilities offered by carriers, hoteliers and destinations is generally excellent.
The first stage, however, in attracting both holiday and business travellers is the advertising and promotional material. With increasing competition, there is a demand for creative, fresh and innovative concept and design ideas. |
This biennial competition is designed to reward talented creative people and receptive and courageous clients.
The travel industry has given the impetus to much outstanding work across advertising, direct mail, point of sale/posters and encouraged the world's finest photographers and artists. As a category, no other single industry has produced regularly such a fine selection of attractive visual images.
The 3rd Asia Travel & Tourism Creative Awards 2008 are organized by AdAsia, one of the leading magazines in the advertising and marketing field in conjunction with one of the most respected magazines in the travel trade.
Entries of work produced by Tourism Boards, Hotels and Resorts, Airlines, Tour Operators, Online Travel Services, Luggage Manufacturers, Car Hire companies and other companies involved in this field are welcome. Entries can be submitted by the clients, designers/photographers or the advertising/media agency.
